Relive the glory day
I was looking thru my photos the other day..
Its two years gone since it last happen but it still very well stick in my mind. What I saw, where I been through. Look at those photos, it actually bring me back some memories. And actually make me reflect on what I have, and what I want with my life.
I been to the worst part of the world, see the worst thing anyone can imagine. Yes, I see dead bodies. Looking back and now, what more I can I ask for my life?
If you still wondering, I was refering to the Tsunami hit Melaboh, Aceh, back in Dec 04. I was just posted to 7SIB, and the next moment I was told of this.
I had look at my previous blog, and actually recall some of the things that happen on the LST 207. But I think picture paint a thousand words. I let the photos do the talking.
The next photo is not for the faint hearted, but it does show, what we had seen.
When we were near that place, some of us had actually seen dead bodies floating on the sea.
The above is the LST 207 which house the personnel.
This is actually where we sleep, not very condusive as you can see. But who say army is about comfort? lol
So my main role on board the ship was more like a system administrator, but of course our primary role is still Signaling, that is to maintain communication on and off board the ship.
Everyday we had meeting, before we move off and after we come back. The meeting can be draggy and it often end at 1 or 2am, and the next day we got to wake up at 5am. So it kind of tiring for the guys.
And me on the other hand stay on board most of the time to make sure the system is working. But still I get to go on shore once in a while.(Think only for 2 days in my one month stay there)

Guess I will stop here for today, I will do another update on either Sat or Sun.
